Vehicle Extrication

On 8/11/2017 at 2pm the West Nyack Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with extrication at the intersection of Rt 59 and Crossfield Ave. Upon arrival it was determined that the pickup truck rolled several times and landed on its side and it was also pinned against a rock wall. The driver was still trapped when we arrived on scene. The crew from the WNFD did an excellent job assessing the scene quickly. They stabilized the vehicle and cut the roof off in order to remove the driver safely from the pickup truck. The driver was than turned over to EMS for further evaluation.
